More help using SUMPRODUCT to filter and count

Hi all.

I have attached a sample spreadsheet with indicative data for the problem I am trying to solve.

I would like to count the documents for each individual (in this particular case-Jones) that are at REGISTERED, IN WORK or REVIEWED and are between the dates shown...but I can't get the dates filter to work!

What am I doing wrong? And what should the formula look like?
