If I want cell B6 to tell me who is logged into the computer running the excel sheet what would the formula be. In other words if I sent a worksheet to my employees as soon as they opened it the sheet would show their name in cell B6

    Hi,

You can't do that with a formula. However, if you press ALT & F11 to open the VBA editor, and doubleclick the ThisWorksheet icon in the project window, then paste this code

It will enter the username into cell B6
