    Question Spin Button will not link to cell

    When I create a (control) spin button and try to specify a cell in the "Linked Cell" field in the properties window, the value is not retained. I'm fairly experienced and am having a brain freeze - this has never happened before!

    Solved: I was in R1C1 mode and tried to enter as B2. Enter R2C2 and it will translate to $B$2. Or get out of R1C1 mode.

    Are you typing in the cell reference or are you pointing to the cell with the mouse? Shouldn't make any difference as long as the range reference is valid.

    Is the problem with just the one worksheet/workbook or does it happen in a fresh workbook as well?
