    Re: Conversion Formula

    Yeah thanks Stanley, have come across those but I want a break down from grams to Pounds, Ounces and Drams not straight from one unit (grms) to another (Pounds) for example. Ideally I would like to know how to automatically split the remaining non whole number from one cell to another, don't know if i'm explaining this very well thanks for your patience.

    Re: Weight Conversion

    Is A1 contains a mass in grams, then

    =A1/453.5923097 converts to lbm

    =A1/28.34951936 converts to ozm

    =A1/1.77184496 converts to drams

    Re: Weight Conversion

    Maybe this is what you want:
          -A-- --B--- -------------------C-------------------
      1   gram 1,000  B1: Input
      2   lbm      2  B2: =INT($B1/453.592309748811)
      3    oz      3  B3: =MOD(INT($B1/28.3495193593007), 16)
      4   dram  0.38  B4: =MOD(B1/1.77184495995629, 2)

    Re: Weight Conversion

    just stick it in round()
    =ROUND(MOD(B1/1.77184495995629, 16),2)
