Switch off Excel 2007 nag when saving in 2003 format

This nag for saving in XML format appears far too frequently. Is there a way to switch it off?

    Here is the nag:

This document is both encrypted and password protected. The Office Open XML Formats available in the 2007 release provide stronger encryption. Do you want to increase the security of this document by converting to an Office Open XML format?

Well, I would feel better if the solution offered under that link was approved by others as far as safety is concerned. I could do it, but it is far over my head to mess around with the registry and have certainty that the machine won't act up in any way.

One reason for suspicion is that the shot of the registry screen shown in that solution is very fishy and suspect. Windows strictly sorts folder in alphabetical sequence, and that Security folder is out of place.
