Difference between Start and End dates

Hi guys here I go again, stuck with one problem regarding dates.
I need to compute the no. of days between start and end dates
and spread no. of days on each month.

I've attached a spreadsheet with examples and further explanation.

Appreciate any assistance.

First off, activate the Analysis ToolPak - Tools -> Addins, this gives you access to some useful Date functions otherwise not available.

Based on your sample...

Inclusive of non-working days:

Networkdays also has an optional 3rd parameter to reference a range of public holidays to be excluded in addition to weekends, see XL help for more info.

(note the D10-DAY(D10)+1 could be replaced if preferred with EOMONTH(D10,-1)+1 if preferred)
