    Hi,
    Need help to figure this out..

    I have 2 worksheets - Data & Reference.
    in Reference worksheet, have 2 columns - Cards & State
    * Cards column contains a listed points which will be added from time to time. The points can either be a word or part of a sentence etc.
    * State column contain various general category

    Table Example in Reference worksheet
    Cards - State
    MBB Visa - Classic
    CitiBank Visa - Gold
    Diners - Classic
    Amex Corp - Platinum
    MBB Mastercards - Gold
    DirectAccess Persona - Gold
    CitiBank Mastercard - Platinum
    Amex Persona - Gold
    DirectAccess Corp - Platinum



    in Data worksheet, have 2 main columns - Remarks & Refs.
    * Remarks column contains all sorts of data. The rows can be more or can be less day by day.
    * Refs column will auto refer to specific reference.

    Table Example in Data worksheet
    Remarks - Refs
    buy winter clothes with directaccess corp - Platinum
    paid the baby delivery using Amex Persona half & cash the balance. - Gold
    travelling using citibank mastercard around the world -
    went skiing at alps but got declined when using directaccess persona -
    apply for mbb mastercards at visa centre but got declined. Agent asked to go to mbb centre. -
    don’t have any money to pay my Amex corp bill. -
    who said that I cannto use my diners in Eygpt?? -
    people said got promo if apply for citibank visa, can get 50inch plasma tv -
    people use visa or mastercards like mbb visa not like now with varieties of cards available. -

    I want to do a search for any Cards which maybe found in the Remarks column which maybe scattered around in each row & point it to specific reference State in a Refs column.
    I'm thinking about using vlookup function to achieve this but to use this function, have to extract out the listed points from Remarks first, into another column before can run the function.
    Is it possible for me to just use the existing column Remark, do a custom filter/search for the Cards detail & then auto point it to the State categories. The result to show in the Refs column.

    So, for 1st row, Remarks ( buy winter clothes with directaccess corp ), when run the function or macro etc.. will give out result:- Refs ( Platinum ). For 2nd row, result:- Refs ( Gold ).

    Is there any other simpler way to automate or make the process faster to make the Refs column filled in automatically with point of reference coming from the Reference worksheet?
