Need help

I need a formula in excel that will find the text EA and display the number above the found cell. My table is a calendar:

1 2 3 4 5
EA
6 7 8 9 10 11 12
EA
etc until the end of the month. So the formula need to retutn the number 2 & 7.

sorry the 1 should be above the 8 but when i polsted this thread the spaces in front of the 1 were removed???
