Importing hyperlink from 1 worksheet to another

Hi

I have a worksheet which contains hyperlinks to server files (about 1000 rows/50 columns). Its cumbersome to use, so I've created an abridged version in worksheet 2 in the same workbook which extracts certain cells' contents from WS1.

What I can't get excel to do is to bring the hyperlink with the cell content from WS1 to WS2.

I've tried HYPERLINK,

Also tried tools, options, edit, untick edit directly in cell

All I can get it to do is look like there's a hyperlink there when there isn't.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Or you can post sample work book by extracting your original data and putting some dummy data .......
