    Months/years w/ GETPIVOTDATA?

Hi, all - I joined this forum today because I'm at my wits' end. I have benefited from your collective answers many times in the past, so I'm really hoping somebody out there has a silver bullet to help me kill this particular beast!

    Here's the situation (Excel 2007):

In January, I set up a "YTD" column to pull only the current year's data from a pivot table that draws from data 2008-present. Here's the formula I used, and it worked great so long as there was only one month of 2009 data (Jan):

Last month, when I added the February data into the mix, suddenly the above formula just would not work, no matter what I tried (returned #REF). So, in desperation, I resorted to this UGLY fix:

Basically, I just added the January 2009 and February 2009 GETPIVOTDATA results together. It works, but the change really slows down worksheet calculation and obviously I don't want to keep adding another month every time!

    Anybody have any ideas?

I think we would need a better understanding as to the layout of the PT, ie do you have Subtotals showing etc... a sample file with dummy data would be best... it's going to be difficult for people to visualise your layout otherwise....
