Period removal

How do you remove the periods in this numbering sequence 1.02.03.04.05 with the end result being 102030405? Note also that the colum contains various combos that can be any combination of numbers from 1.01 to
1.09.00.00.00.00.00.00.99. I use both versions 2003 and 2007....
