    Filter Date Ranges

I have a rapidly growing worksheet that I would like to filter by month.

    DATE:
    1/1/07
    1/2/07
    .
    .
    .
    2/22/09

This worksheet tracks daily balances and will be a shared document.

Is there a way to filter by month/year?

EX: Want to see January 2008

    In the standard filter I would --- < 2/1/08 and >12/31/07

    Looking for some .xls magic.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Re: Filter Date Ranges

You could add a help column that uses the TEXT() function..

e.g. =TEXT(A1,"mmmm yyyy") would return something like January 2008

    Then copy it down

Then filter by that new column
Where there is a will there are many ways.
