I am trying to create a time based chart which will be updated every min.

I.E
Medical cases that are charted have a time limit they need to be done by.
the cases in the field turn a differn't color if the time =now() > then 3 from the time the case was entered. I am not quite sure =now() string of values is what i need to make it happen but any thoughts?
