Continue using Excel or should I use Access for this project?

    Hi there.

I am working on a spreasheet that will automatically calculate the interest rate, loan to value advance, and other parameters from user inputs.

I have found a way to get the calculations to work correctly, but I have about 50 lenders to input - all with different rates and lending guidlines with respect to loan to value advances.

I am sure that I am going about it the hard way and I have no problem going at this to get it right.

I have attached the spreasheet I've started. I've only got one lender completed thus far. So if you need help sleeping at night, go ahead and see what I've done (yes it's boring).

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Edit note: I don't know if using Access would make this an easier project to tackle but it is an option (I'll just have to learn
Access if that's the case - I've never used it).

    Confused...

Excuse me if I missed something, but I don't see what you're actually asking.

All I see in your post is that

    a: working on a spreadsheet
b: found a way to make calculations work
c: have to enter more data
    d: have completed one lender.

Are you looking for a way to input the data? If so, where are you inputting it from?

    Thanks for your reply.

Entering in more data is not the issue. I am curious as to whether or not there is a more steamlined way to mapping the data to get the results other than what I am doing now. I was initially going to try and use Access with building different tables and establishing relationships, but I chose to go this route only because I know a little bit of Excel.

Just wondering if there is a more efficient method of getting my end results other than what I am doing now.

    Be more specific?

The only page which looks as though it's heading for chaos, is the data page, but being that it's far from complete, I can't see what sort of trends we could automate, since at the moment it's just a list of numbers.

I'll try to give you a hand but I don't entirely know what it is you're up against.

    mew!
