Todate Sum formula

Kindly help me to write a formula which sums the values in a range only to the date we mentioned. For ease sample date & requirements are highlighted in attached spreadsheet.

NO sir its not working, let me reiterate for more clarity if we insert date in C7 as 12-dec-08 in C8 it sums the planed sales values in C4:AG4 from 1-dec-08 to 12-dec-08. and similarly for any dates it mentioned in C7 it sums the planned sales value till that date.
