    Summation of n

Hey, I've been racking my brain over this for a bit.

It doesn't even seem like that hard of a formula to put in, but I am in no way an expert to Excel so if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

I'm trying to make a code so that if someone puts in, say 7, then this second cell will print out the summation of n7, or 28.

So it's like Factorials, only with addition instead of multiplication.

    So 3 = 6, 5 = 15, 8 = 36, etc.

Anyone know of a simple way to do this?

Hi and welcome to the board
The sum of n first integers =n*(n+1)/2
    This should get you going

Thanks, that did exactly what I wanted it to do.

You'd think as a math major I'd have known that forum already
