type in values in column A and then just print the rows that have a value in column A

What I'd like to do is create a worksheet that has a big long list of equipment I regularly order, so that when I need to generate an order, I can type in values in column A and then just print the rows that have a value in column A. Can I format my document to do that, or do I have to move them to a separate worksheet?

    I hope this isn't impossible.

    Autofilter

I think you may not need to use any formula to do this. If you set up your long list of equipment, say in column B, then use Column A to type in the quantity needed.. you could probably just use Autofilter.

Make sure your columns have headings, something like "Quantity", "Equipment", etc..

Click on A1, then go to Data:: Filter:: Autofilter.

You should now have a small down arrow on the A1 cell, Quantity, or whatever you called it.

Click the Down arrow and choose (NonBlanks). This will only show you items that have something in them in Column A. Now you can print this. To remove filters, you can go to Data:: Filter:: Autofilter.

    Does this help?
