Referencing data from one workbook to another

I have a master sheet and another sheet called January. I have set them up to where data that I input in the master goes to the appropriate place on the January sheet. Now I am done with January. I need to lock it somehow so that the new information I put in the master will go to another sheet called February. In other words, each month, I will have new #'s to go on the master sheet, which then needs to go to the new month sheet. Is this possible? Thanks!

How did you do for January, VB or function ( like vlookup)?
I think you can make a little modification for February and other #

This may be a little brutal, but I'm assuming once January is done, you want the data displayed there to lock permanently anyway, right?

So, first, make a copy of the sheet January called February. It should now have all the functionality of January in duplicate.

Now, go back to January, highlight everything, copy it, then PASTE SPECIAL and select VALUES. That eliminated all the formulas and now its hard data on that sheet.

Go to February and use it as needed since all your functions are there and working.

I imagine a macro could be created to do this same thing for you all in one step...since you want to do this monthly, right?
