    If Formulas

I have an excel spreadsheet that i enter the date, qty shipped, qty tagged, and then each tag is listed with the pertinent type of information. We have 4 different types of tags, A, B, C, D. At the end of the spreadsheet I have the percentage calculated for tags A & B for each month. I would like to set this up so that it will automatically look at the date column and only include the information for the appropriate date. I'll attach a copy of the one of the spreadsheets. Hopefully what i'm saying makes sense to someone...

I presume that you are trying to limit your results to one month at a time. Your simplest solution may be to convert your sum and countif formulas to use subtotal() and then apply a data filter. You would need to filter column A for the data range and column D for the tag types A & B.

I think the best method is using Pivot Table

I don't fully understand the Pivot Table. Can you explain it further?

just a side note, i'm entering into this daily, so the information for each month will grow until the last day of that month, but i need to know the percent yield daily.

    Check the file I attached,
I said Pivot table is a better way, but I have attached a solution using formulas,
You don't need to change anything manually

On your spreadsheet, in cell E116 you have a note saying "* You must fill up the whole date column first" which i thought meant that i won't get a percent until the date column is completed.

Also when i double click the cells that have a formula, when i click out of the cell, the percentage is no longer visible, i get a #VALUE! error.
