Generating unique pairs from a set of numbers

    Hello friends,

If I have a column of unique numbers in a spreadsheet, is it possible to use excel to generate every single possible pairing of different numbers from that selection of numbers?

For example if the numbers were

    1
    2
    3
    4

could I get excel to generate two columns that were

    1 2
    1 3
    1 4
    2 1
    2 3
    2 4
    3 1
    3 2
    3 4

Have a feeling that I haven't explained that very clearly but hope someone can help...

    Thank you.

If I have understood u correctly, then the numbers are always going to be in series and the order should start from the 1st number and end with the last number 4th in this case...

Now, there is a scope for logic to be build as the number of rows assigned for all numbers would be the last number minus 1..

    I'll give it a try...
