Populating a matrix from a list

Hello everyone,

I have a problem and hopefully someone knows how to do it,

I have a list of sub-contractors that are on jobs throughout a month, i have a list of these jobs along with the dates that they are on them, I need to populate the list into a table and place the job letter into the date cell that corresponds with the contractor, so its kind of a timetable for the contractors, i have tried using index and match and various other methods but nothing works as i want it to.

I have attached a sample, with the kind of results i need.
