    Question Conditional MAX function

I just found this website today and must say I am very impressed with the responses given to the various questions.

My issues is that I am trying to find the maximum value in a column, but I only want to evaluate the cells that meet certain criteria in adjacent cells.

    ex.

    Load Combo End Axial Load
    3 1 100
    2 2 150
    7 1 250
    2 1 350
    2 2 175

In this case I want to find the maximum Axial Load for Load Combo = 2 and End = 2. For this example the result would be 175. This is a very simplified version, the actual spread sheet will have hundreds of lines.

    Any help would be appreciated.
