Nested Count IF Function

this is silly...i'm blanking as it's been a while since i needed to use this formula...

i have a SIMPLE table...

Job Posting Male Female White Minority

I need a count of applicants... so i'm doing a count if... i thought it would be

Count(IF(A1:A10="F"),IF(B1:B10="JobPostingName",1,0),0))

but it's only returning 1's???

hmm.. i get the #NUM! error...

what is the purpose of *? and i'm wondering why i would use sumproduct instead of count... as it just want it to count how many lines of data are female and applied for a specific job??

make sense?
