    Vlookup with formatting

Is there any way to use a Vlookup that also takes the format from the data table?

I.e. my data table contains some absolute numerical values and some percentages. I would like the Vlookup to find the correct data value and then format it to match the cell, from which, the data was obtained.

    Any ideas? Thanks,

    R.

    Hi,
I'm afraid this is not possible with a formula.
Post your question in the programming forum, someone might help you there

    Cheers

    Thanks

    Hi Arthur,

Thanks for the response. I thought that might be the case. I wanted to avoid macros if possible, but I might have to go down this route.

    Thanks again,

    R.
