    thanks for your quick response

    for example...
    Col. A Col. B
    12.34 0.886
    12.34 0.886
    12.34 0.886
    12.34 0.886
    12.23 0.732
    12.23 0.732
    11.46 0.732
    16.04 0.931
    16.04 0.931
    16.04 0.931
    Conditions:
    Set 1. 11.6 14.3 14.6 16.7 17.9 18.3 20.7
    Set 2. 0.76 1.17 0.75 1.01 0.9 1.2 1.19

Substract Set 1 and column A ....then differences are

    -0.74 1.96 2.26 4.36 5.56 5.96 8.36
    -0.74 1.96 2.26 4.36 5.56 5.96 8.36
    -0.74 1.96 2.26 4.36 5.56 5.96 8.36
    -0.74 1.96 2.26 4.36 5.56 5.96 8.36
    -0.63 2.07 2.37 4.47 5.67 6.07 8.47
    -0.63 2.07 2.37 4.47 5.67 6.07 8.47
    0.14 2.84 3.14 5.24 6.44 6.84 9.24
    -4.44 -1.74 -1.44 0.66 1.86 2.26 4.66
    -4.44 -1.74 -1.44 0.66 1.86 2.26 4.66
    -4.44 -1.74 -1.44 0.66 1.86 2.26 4.66

Also, substract set 2 and column B...outcomes are as follow

    -0.13 0.28 -0.14 0.12 0.01 0.31 0.30
    -0.13 0.28 -0.14 0.12 0.01 0.31 0.30
    -0.13 0.28 -0.14 0.12 0.01 0.31 0.30
    -0.13 0.28 -0.14 0.12 0.01 0.31 0.30
    0.03 0.44 0.02 0.28 0.17 0.47 0.46
    0.03 0.44 0.02 0.28 0.17 0.47 0.46
    0.03 0.44 0.02 0.28 0.17 0.47 0.46
    -0.17 0.24 -0.18 0.08 -0.03 0.27 0.26
    -0.17 0.24 -0.18 0.08 -0.03 0.27 0.26
    -0.17 0.24 -0.18 0.08 -0.03 0.27 0.26

the negative value means values in column A or B could not meet this condition..while the positive one means they could meet it....

I am thinking to convert the differences (set 1 and col A||set 2 and col B) from negative and positive to 0 and 1 or false and true. something like a binary function...then multiply them....the results are containing 0 and 1 or false and true. only both 1 or both true could be selected for further uses...

I hope this time it is clear....

    Thanks in advance

How large are your data sets?

Do you have a spread sheet already set up with values entered - without seeing how your data is presented it is difficult to advise - can you post an actual copy of your sheet?
