    Countif & Conditional formation question

    I have a work sheet in column A there is a word and column B has a countif looking for that word, what i need is if the amounts together are over 5 then i need the words and the numbers to change colour

    Competant 0
    Getting there 0
    Assistance Needed 0

    i.e

    Competant 1
    Getting there 3
    Assistance Needed 2

    All words and numbers change colour (Background)

    Select the column to apply the formatting to and go to Format|Conditional Formatting

    Select Formula is from 1st drop down and enter formula: =SUM($B$1:$B$3)>5 where B1:B3 is the range to check for Sum over 5.

    Then click Format and choose your formatting.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
