    Conditional Format Possible for this??

    Salary.xls

    Hi all

I am wondering if this is possible with a conditional format?

I have a sheet I use to record salary data of employees through the year, and what I want to do is set a conditional format to highlight anyone with a pay amount in any given period that is +/- 10% of their annual salary equivelant

As you can see, I have the period in cell B1
The Annual Salary Figure in F6
The Period salary paid in M6 to X6 and a running total in Y6

So looking at Period 1 Salary Paid of £1,150 in cell M6

I want to create a formula in conditional formatting that says if the salary in M6 is +/- 10% in value of the annual salary figure in F6 divided by 12, then turn the cell M6 red

It is the +/- 10% range part of the formual I can not work out how to do. Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks

    Hi,

attached is a file, where I did that. I used a formula:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
to find out if the periods salary is out of +/- 10% of the 1/12th of the annual salary.

Is this what you are looking for?

    You are welcome

In this case the ABS saves you from using to different comparisons.
