    constant formula

Darkyam helped me with the attached spreadsheet but I did not realize that
in the 2nd and 3rd section that the "points possible" would not be constant.

So the formulas in cells H27 and I27 are not correct.

Also I am not sure if the formula is H35 is correct but I am sure that the
"points possible" will not be constant.

Spreadsheet attached. Any help greatly appreciated.

Can you explain what you mean in terms of expected results as opposed to actual results? H27 will take the total points scored divided by the total points possible, so it shouldn't matter how many points are possible or whether they're constant. This also applies to H35.
I27 does require that each assignment is worth 10 points, as I said in the last thread, so if one is worth 8 and another worth 13, for example, then that won't work for you.

Dear Darkyam and Tippy - thank you for your replies.
I will need to check out your suggestions on Monday as I do
    not have Excel at home.

Darkyam - the formula you suggested was based on a constant average
of 10 which is why I assumed it would not work if the possible total
    points were unknown.

I am looking forward to Monday (for a change) to take a look it
    the spreadsheet again.

    Have a great weekend.

    Ann
