    Timezone calculations

    Dear Users,

I am trying to calculate the working hours in a local timezone that it takes for my support teams to respond to our customerbase. I have the GMT times for question posted, the GMT times for a response, the number of hours it took to respond and the country of origin. I think this is enough to start.

So far, I have created a lookup table to correct the times based on country of origin to ensure they are local and from this point I have got stuck. I have derived the time correction, no problem, but I cannot make the adjustment to the times stored and this is my question.

The date/time formats are dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm and my correction is in decimal hours, ie. +2 or -7.

What formulae do I need to change the time by the appropriate hours and then get back to dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm?

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Paul.

Just divide the hours to add or subtract by 24, e.g. if date/time is in A1 and correction, e.g. -7 or 2 is in B1

    =A1+B1/24

format result cell in the same format as A1

    Timezone Calcs

Thank you. I cannot believe I tried all the hard things and it was as simple as this. I think I need to look harder at how dates/times are used..!

    Thanks again for your help.

    Paul.
