Exclamation Splitting Address From One Cell to Multiple

Hi everyone. I am in the process of exporting pdf files to excel. Unfortunately when these pdf files are exported they put the address all into one cell. I will be dealing with thousands of address' and I was wondering if there was a way I can split them to at least 90% accuracy. This way I will be able to mail merge easier. I know you can split columns by space but this seems more complex. Any input will help. Please Save Me Some Time!

    Not sure, but try this.

If you are exporting pdf.s into Excel, can you save the pdf's as text (.txt) files?

If you can then you will be able to import to excel as tab or comma delimited files.

Alternatively save the excel file as .txt and then importing as above should work.

I have done this but does it mean that I just copy and paste individually into different cells?

Use the comma delimeted option. It is the same as using the option for "spaces" but it seperates at ","s. If you have alot of addresses with Suite #'s, Bldg #'s etc. you will have alot of clean up to do, but it will be much better than using the spacing option.

If you are wondering where it is at, click on Data and Text to Colums. Go from there.

There is no commas. for example a single cell will read like this:

2012 Granite Drive Janesville Wi 53548

so i would be in trouble there. Now the other pdfs that i am transfering do have commas after the street, which makes it a whole different ball game. I was just wondering if there was some ungodly way to make this work.
