match numbers function!

hi
I like to find or match numbers as follows:

7293 > 8922 = 2 matches

simply how is this done!

remember double digits count as 1 match and each digit has its own cell....

this will do it but its un-wieldy i'm sure someone else can simplify it but it should give you some idea
the test for match simply returns the position of the matched number,first instance only
so this effectively ignores duplicates

formula to count matches in cell N2 is an array formula and needs to be entered with ctrl+shift+enter
