    Keeping a Static Formula

Okay, so here's the deal... I have a spreadsheet with functions crossing about 5 or 6 different pages. One of the sheets is a "template" that I use every week to create new spreadsheets, which is where the problem comes in. I have a sheet called Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday which have numbers that are totalled on a 4th sheet. However, when the next week rolls around I want to be able to delete the Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday sheets and replace them with new sheets with the same exact names. However, when I delete the sheets, I get the #REF! error in the formula string. Is there any way to keep the formula the same, even if the sheet doesn't exist?

    This is the formula: =VLOOKUP(B7,Saturday!E8:L999,8,FALSE)

    Thanks,
    S

    hi Sathed,

I recommend selecting each sheet, selecting all the cells (you can click on the small square above the "1" which shows the row), pressing delete (which deletes the contents & leaves the cells), & then pasting your new data in to each sheet. If you really want to delete the sheets & strat from scratch then lookup the Help files for the Indirect function.
