Combine Text & A Logic Function

Hi All,

I am a very novice Excel user, and this one's throwing me.

I basically want to do a logic test and then spit back those results in combination with some text.

I would like this all to work in the same cell with one function using roughly the following:

90 = absolute value
cell x = computed value from another cell

If cell x > 90 then I want my result to state the value of cell x along with the text "Excess Points"

Appearance in the cell: 5 Excess Points

OR

If cell x < 90 then I want my result to state the text "Need", the value of cell x, and the text "Points"

Appearance in the cell: Need 15 Points

I have played with the =IF() function and a few text formatting functions as well, but am having no luck with getting any of them to work for what I want to accomplish in my spreadsheet.

Something I thought would be fairly simple to do has turned into a bit of a task and then some!
