    Cool streamlining a list

    Hi all,
Does anyone know if the following is possible and if so how to it?

I have a list of names 200+ but some names are repeated up to 20 times. Is there any function that will produce a list from these names but list each name just once?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Try this, with your list in column A and this in B1, but enter this an array formula - Ctrl+Shift+Enter so that { } appear in the formula bar around the formula.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Alter the ranges to yours, then copy the formula down column B - double click the little square in the bottom right corner of B1.

Then copy column B, paste special > values. Then select all cells with #NUM! and press delete. You should now have a unique list.

    or try an add-in
asap utilities has a duplicate find/highlight/delete function

    select column
then from the asap menur select columnss/rows
then select conditional , column/row select hide or delete
from search options drop down select
    duplicate values
leave handle rows or columns on rows
select delete from what to do with found rows/columns
    select start
