merge old excel file with new file?

I get weekly reports with account numbers on them (about 20,000)...ie this weeks report might look like this:
12254
12279
12299
12398
12400

I then note in the column to the right what is happening with that accountmy question is, is there a formula to carry over the previous weeks data to elimate duplicate work>

try using VLOOKUP to bring in any previous data, value paste the result, remove any #N/A errors, then bring in the current week's data.
