I need to colour a whole line when the date i have matches todays date, i can do this with conditional formating but only for one column i want this for the whole line, can this be done

Try any avoid doing the whole row. I would suggest selection Col A to Z then in CF add this formula
Change Col A to your column=$A1=TODAY()

No i cant get this to work i have attached a sample of worksheet so you can see
I want the whole row to turn say Yellow if todays date matches date in column D
And the same for column I but a differant colour say green
I tried what you gave but nothing was happening
