Hi,

I have been trying to match text data with the objective of then creating a sheet that contains the associated information. I have been using the IF function and it works fine with a few examples but does not work when I apply it in the actual worksheet that contains more than 10 000 lines of information.

Not sure that the above is clear in what I want so I attached the example.

In essence I want to compare the names in 'DataSheet 1' column A with the names in 'DataSheet 2' column A and then create a third sheet 'Required Outcome' reflecting all the info from 'DataSheet 1' with the information in 'DataSheet 2' column B matched.

The IF statement works in the example but fails with the real data.

Can someone please help?

will some names in column A repeat, or are they all unique?
