    COUNTIF? Date Function

    Hi

    Im looking to have a formula that calculates the number of times I receive an item late.

    Basically I have a list of information in a sheet "Trade Blotter"

    All my Unique Fund ID's are in Column A and all my dates are in Column B.

    I then want the results of how many items I receive late for each unique ID to be displayed in my Summary Sheet where the current date is populated in Cell C2.

    I basically want my summary to show the number of items received before the date in Cell C2 (Summary) say for example Unique ID Code W682 from the sheet (Trade Blotter)

    Can anyone help?

    I would add a third column in your first sheet that compares the date received to the current date and returns a 1 or a 0 (1 for late). You can then do a sumif for the unique item and how many 1s are in the third column...

    I know this is a bit confusing, but it seems as if your problem is a bit more complex than you can explain in a few lines. If this doesnt fix it for you, please post a file with an example.
