    MAX function

I need to find out all the votes for a certain AREA and then only display the highest one, the first answer should be 0 and the second 1419, but on the first two I get '2562' and then 0 for the rest.

I'll attach the DB to my webhost and then you can look yourself much quicker.

It's on the 'Ward Results' Sheet and it's the 'Winning Votes' Column.

    Download: http://www.leoncalder.com/excel/Datasheet_2001_new.xls

If you can sort it please email me the fixed version at :

    picodeath2004@aol.com

Or post here asking any questions need be, need this fixed within a few hours.

    Thanks

You need to enter them as array formulae - press Ctrl, Shift & Enter and curly brackets will appear round the formula.

8000 votes for the Cornish nationalists eh...

If you're rich and female I'll marry you.

Looks like you might have to do the same (array formulae) for columns E to N

Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the CONCATENATION of StephenR and PicoDeath in Holy MACROmony...

...FORMULA richer or poorer, for better or WORKSHEET... :-)

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
