    Referring to todays date

    Hi,

    I would like to get a formula that if the date in A1 is greater than todays date, enter 'ok' in C1, if not enter 'not okay' in C2

    Thanks

    This would require 2 formulas, one in C1 and one in C2.

    So in C1 try: =IF(A1>today(),"Ok","")

    and in C2 try: =If(A1<=Today(),"Not Ok","")
    Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Further help on IF & TODAY command

    Thanks for the reply, how would i alter the formula to look at a range of cells - maybe a1,a2,a3,a4,a5 in which any or all might contain todays date?

    Thanks

    Try these:

    =IF(COUNTIF(A1:A5,">"&TODAY()),"OK","")

    and

    =IF(COUNTIF(A1:A5,"<="&TODAY()),"Not OK","")
