    Calculating Employers NI in UK

Ladies & Gents, I'm sure this has been asked before but I need a formula for calculating an Employers NI contribution for an employee.

The variables I have to work with are:

    a) Their annual salary
    b) Their proportion of full time working (i.e. some staff only work, say, 20% of the time for me, but 80% for someone else, so the salary I pay them doesn't relate properly to NI bands/ceilings
    c) Whether of not they are contracted in or out of SERPS
    d) the National insurance bands.

I'm hoping someone will have a pre-exisiting table/formula they can point me to.

    Regards

    Giles Thomas

    NI formulas

Just in case no one comes up with anyting for you, I was on the Inland Revenue website searching (I was looking for tax tables), but came across documentation for formulas for all sorts of payroll calculations.

    National insurance etc etc

Thanks. Quite a lot of detail there! I hope someone will come back to me with something already worked out, but otherwise your link should help with working through some of the formulas. Giles.
