I am trying to retrieve some information from a sheet.

column d row 6 to 46 has a text value (Type) eg apples, peaches, nectarines.
column e row 6 to 46 has the number of apples, peaches, nectarines.

I want to make a formula that will search column d row 6 to 46 for apples then go to column e row 6 to 46 and add all the number of apples in these rows to give me a total for the number of apples from row 6 to 46 column e.

I then want to repeat the formula for peaches and nectarines.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
