    Tab in a Protected Sheet

    I have create an excel file. I have selected an area that a user can type in and all other areas can't be modified. I protect the worksheet. Everything looks and works great ECXEPT, I can no longer Tab. The Tab is turned off when the sheet is protected. I unprotect and then I can tab. Can someone help me by figuring out how to tab. Thank you

    When you protect the sheet, are you able to check off "Select unlocked cells"?

    Yes but when I uncheck that, I can't click on anything.

    It needs to be checked, if you want to select unlocked cells

    highlite the range you want to edit,
    goto format=>cells=>protection and unchecked locked,
    then protect the sheet
