create url from text in three different cells

I need to generate a url from three different sources and can't figure out how to do it. I need to create the value in D by combining A, B, and C. Once that's done I need to make the results in D a hard value (not dependent on references from other cells) so I can delete A, B, and C before uploading the spreadsheet to my store. I don't want a formula. I only need to combine plain language entries to create a longer plain language entry. I researched several help sources and the answer is probably right under my nose but I can't find it. Can anyone help me? Contained below is a link to a graphic showing what I'm trying to do.

    Hi,

If I'm reading you right, you just want to string the text together.

To do this, you can use the & operator.

So, in your example, in column D enter =A1&B1&C1

Copy this down the length of your data, then highlight the whole column, and do

Edit > Paste Special > Values

Which will get rid of the formula leaving you with plain text.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

"Tomorrow I'm going to be famous. All I need is a tennis racket and a hat".

    Thanks

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

That created exactly the entry I was looking for.

When I tried to "hard wire" the column I tried Edit, Paste Special, but couldn't find VALUES. My choices were "Paste as Unicode Text or Text". Both resulted in error messages saying the stuff on the clipboard was the wrong size.

Figured it out. I needed to hit the Copy command first.

    That did it. Much obliged!
