    Question Creating a Purchase Order

    Hi All,

Not sure which functions to use in this scenario.

Need to create purchase orders using Excel.

I have 6 fields on one row that need filling in. In one of the fields I will enter the code, I then need the rest of the fields filled in from the data in another spreadsheet.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a function that will do this I can probably figure out the rest.

    Thanks,

    Jamie

OK, not had must experience with that formula function, any chance of a quick example:

I enter my product code in B17 and need c, d, e, f, and g17 filled in from data that is located....

Code will be located in column b on sheet2 and the data needing to be pulled across will be in c,d,e,f and g of the same row.

    Hi jamie,

can you post an example of your wprkbook and the requirements - it looks like there won't be a problem, but need to see the data layout to create a solution.

Excel files need to be attached as ZIPPED files - select the file right click > send to > compressed file.

then use the manage attachements on the post form.

Files should be attached, quantity and total columns do not need to be filled in automatically as we will add these manually.

    Try this

    Hi Jamie,

Try the attached - it will also calculate the total on each line. I've included some error trappingmto make sure that it looks OK when values are wrong or missed out.

Suggest all cells except the quantity and ref should be protected to prevent accidental messing up

Let me know how you go

    regards
