link cells between sheets?

I dont know if this is in the right section but heres what I am trying to do, let me know if you can help.

I have a list in one column on sheet A

I need to take the first cell in the list and link it to cell say A2 on sheet B
Then take the next cell from the list and link it to cell A2 on sheet C

Is there a way to get excel to grab the next cell from the list and continue linking it through the rest of the sheets?
It is a rather long list and dont want to have to manually link each item.

So, all your want is 1 cell from the list on a new sheet?

Sheet B = Sheet A Cell A1
Sheet C = Sheet A Cell A2
Sheet D = Sheet A Cell A3, etc?

yes but can it grab the next item from the list and put it in the same cell on the next sheet automatically?

any ideas?

Doable if your sheet names is in some kind of sequence that ends with a number.

can they have different names if I put a 1 then 2 then 3 at the end of each one?

Anyone know of a way?
