    Limiting Offset Range

I have monthly project costs which are referanced to a monthly cashflow sheet. I want to be able to use offset in the cashflow to push back those costs to see the effect if the project is delayed.
    B C D E F
    Jan Feb Mar Apr
    100 200 300

    Offset 1 B No's 100 200 300

My offset formula at the moment is picking up B when I try to push.

How can I stop picking up prior cells but push the Jan costs forward.

    What formula are you trying?

    offset($AC$37,,-$D$92)

AC37 is the first column in my project cost sheet
D92 = the offset amount - will move along columns per month.

with D92 at 0 I am picking up in my cashflow the corresponding months in my project sheet.

when I make d92 = 1 - all the figures move correctly along but I pick up the data in AB37. If I make D92 =2 I then pickup AA37 aswell. This is what I want to stop.

    Offset Limit

I am trying to use the offset function as shown in the attachment, but it is picking up prior columns that I don't want too.

I'm trying to see the effects of a project being pushed back from its original start date (Month Jan) in a project worksheet.

Is it possible to add some other function, formula to the original figure?

Hoping someone can help as really need this ability in my model.

    Many Thanks
    D.

    Offset revision

    Hi David

I have made some changes to your example so that it will extend as far as necessary by dragging.

The numbers in the top row are just there to permit the dragging to work correctly.

    Regards

    Jeff
