    Cond. Formatting issue

    Ok heres the setup

    Column B = Y or Blank

In rows I have 10 cells across that need to be shaded dependant on answer

ie. If cell B1 has a Y in it then nothing happens if however it is left blank then cells F1 - F10 need to be shaded

    Hope that explains it

Select cells F1:F10 and go to Format|Conditional Formatting

Select Formula Is from 1st dropdown and enter formula: =$B$1=""

Click format and choose your colour in the Pattern tab.

    Click Ok

    Click Ok again to finish
