How to read from a particular cell

Let me know how to read from a particular cell using COM ??
i am able to write to particular cell.

Here i am trying to Access excel sheet ,then read from a particular cell like Student ID from Excel sheet ...
I have to read from Excel sheet ,make a buffer for student ID for quick search.
