Hyperlink to networked printer

I wanted to make a spreadsheet that listed all of our networked printers and allowed the user to follow a hyperlink to the different networked printers. When inserting the hyperlink I provide the UNC to the printer such as \\server\printersharename. However when I click on the hyperlink I am presented with an error - "cannot open the specified file".

When I hover over the hyperlink, it looks like it is trying to open
"file:///\\server\printersharename". Is there anyway to make the hyperlink point to a UNC?
